The RSS Home Plug-In is normally in the "collapsed" state.
In this mode, the RSS reader:
does not use any CPU cycles
and therefore does not flow data [ i.e. No Mobile Operator data charges ]
is available on your Homescreen as a graphic that displays your carrier's logo
TO READ FEEDS:
Homescreen Mode
Navigate to the RSS Home Plug-In on your Homescreen to open it. After a brief pause, the available feeds will scroll across your homescreen. Feeds not cached are retrieved from the internet and may incur data charges.
Moving the D-Pad left and right will spin within the ring of feeds.
Pressing the D-Pad ("Enter") on the selected feed will display the Fullscreen mode.Fullscreen Mode allows navigation within the three display segments:
1. Channel name (eg. "CNN" or "ESPN")
Moving the D-Pad left and right will spin within the ring of feeds.
2. Article Title (eg. "Troubles in Boston")
Moving the D-Pad left and right will spin within the ring of article titles.
Pressing the D-pad will list all the articles
3. Article Summary
Pressing the D-Pad ("Enter") on the selected feed will "link" to a Pocket IE site, if available. Data Charges might be incurred for browsing internet sites. The full article can also be read by choosing the soft-key "Menu> Read Article" which will also attempt to connect to the source link on the internet, and might incur data charges.
